What Do You Think About Tattoos?

My husband and I got matching tattoos that say "I always dream", and "always dream of me" in different languages. Mine is in Spanish, as shown above, and my husband's is in German.. "Traum Immer Von Mir". (For some reason the two little dots above the "a" wont show up?) Mine is located right under my left breast, right by my heart. My husbands tattoo is called a "Rocker", basically just a chest piece tattoo.

Anyway, I'm a Navy wife, so these tattoos are to remind us to always think and dream of each other while we are apart. It's hard being a military family, but the only thing that keeps us together no matter what is love. I'm always a dreamer so I got this to remind me to never stop.

So what do YOU think about tattoos? Would you ever get one? Do you already have one?

Hunger Games Lip Craze?

I've been seeing a TON of tutorials on YouTube.com for Effie Trinkets makeup look from the Hunger Games trailer. I've also seen a blue lip being done on quite a few models. What do you think about this blue lip craze? Awesome for spring, or do you think we should abandon this trend? I personally think it's interesting.. Not exactly sure what I think of it. I wasn't too fond of it at first glance, but I think it's starting to grow on me! (Even though I personally wouldn't wear it out with just a plain blue.. I might add a glitter like this!)

Spill the beans! What do you ladies think of this growing trend?

Cherry Culture Haul!

You can only guess how excited I was to hear the FedEx guy at my door! I have been waiting for my order from CherryCulture.com for over a month now! Needless to say, I was getting a little impatient. This was my second order with them, and my first order only took about a week to arrive on my doorstep. This order took nearly four and a half weeks to arrive. I think it might have taken longer than I anticipated because I did order when they were having a sale on NYX products. 20-50% off. Me being the NYX lover that I am, I just had to order. I got a bunch of Jumbo Eye Pencils, Lipsticks, and a few other lip products.

I was really excited about the Amuse Cucumber Makeup Wipes, but was unfortunately disappointed. After swatching all of my lip products and eye pencils, I tried to clean off my arm with the wipes, and they did almost nothing. I had to scrub my arm with it to take the makeup off. I can only imagine how this would react on my face. I will not be using these anywhere near my eyes. It might be okay to use to wipe off my tinted moisturizer before i cleanse my face though. We'll see. I might end up just tossing them in my purse to wipe my hands off if they get dirty somehow.

The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils have been a recent obsession of mine, I keep trying to find different ones for makeup looks that I've been toying around with. I was thinking about making a couple YouTube tutorials, but I'm not sure if I really will end up doing so. The Jumbo Eye Pencils I bought from my first CherryCulture.com order were Milk, Gold, and Pots and Pans. I wanted Strawberry Milk, but they were sold out, and were also sold out my second time ordering. (Grr, I know!) This time I was able to get my hands on Black Bean, French Fries, Oyster, Yogurt, and Pure Gold. I ordered Gold the first time, thinking its color would be true to the name, but was surprised to see it was an orange/bronze gold instead. So this time I picked up Pure Gold, and sure enough, it's true to the name. All of them glide on and are extremely creamy, so use them sparingly or set them with an eye shadow  and use primer to prevent creasing.

Pots and Pans, Black Bean, Gold, Pure Gold, French Fries, Yogurt, Oyster, Milk

Lately, I've had quite an obsession with the NYX lipsticks. I love that they're creamy and moisturizing. They never dry out my lips or settle in the cracks. I think that most of them are opaque for the most part. Some of them are more shimmery than others, and some have more of a satin finish. They all pair with their glosses perfectly, and some even have coordinating names. My favorites are their nude/pinky shades. When the sale was going on, I thought I would come out of my comfort zone a little bit, so I opted for darker shades. I'll play around with them and see how I like them paired with a gloss. My favorite shade right now is Darling, paired with the Round Gloss in Whipped. Your turn to spill, whats YOUR favorite NYX lip combos?
After this picture I accidentally knocked over my lipsticks.. so I'm not sure the names of the ones directly above, but I think I can point them out in the swatches I did below:

Strawberry Milk, Indian Pink, Iris, Darling, Georgia, Celebrate, Christie, Hebe
Aphrodite, Zeus, Chambord, Violet Ray, Heredes, Gaea, Iced Latte

I also have Protus and Alecto, but don't know where they are. Probably in one of my purses somewhere. Protus is a satin bronze, and Alecto is more of a rusty red/bronze color.
Retractable Lip Liner in Ruby, Amuse Matte Lip Gloss in Nude Pink, NYX Mega Shine Gloss in Perfect and Natural

I am so in love with teh NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses! These are my first two, and I love the smell of them! They smell sweet and candy-like. They look beautiful on the lips, and the shine stays for a long time.. unless you tend to lick your lips a lot when they smell yummy.. (like I do!) I have a feeling these two wont last me long, reapplying it is like having a little snack! ;) I have no idea why I bought the Retractable Lip Liner in Ruby... I hardly ever wear a red lip! But I didn't have a red liner, so I guess that's a good buy after all. As for the Amuse Matte Lip Gloss... It's not so matte and doesn't smell too nice. The applicator is HUGE, and the texture is very sticky.. Gosh do I hate.. hate.. hate!!! sticky glosses.

Thank you all for taking the time to read! I have a blog in the works for a Too Faced Dupe that's almost exact in packaging and color quality that I found over Mardi Gras weekend! Please check back and read that one too! ;)

Now... it's YOUR turn to spill the beans.. Which NYX products have you recently found that have stolen your heart? I'd love to read about your experience!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review& Swatches

I feel like I was one of the last people to jump onto the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream bandwagon, but I'm extremely happy I decided to. I went onto Amazon.com and went ahead and purchased a shade that was closest to my lip color, Stockholm. I tried it for a couple days and immediately fell in love with it! It was creamy and glossy looking at first, but within 30 seconds or so the glossy color went away and the lip cream blended into my natural lip color perfectly. I decided to go ahead and splurge, so I went ahead and bought all 11 shades in a set on Amazon.com for about 42.00 USD. I don't know if the seller is still selling it, but if you're interested I can look it up for you, just leave a comment below.

I did notice that Stockholm kind of smells like Playdoh.. It's a weird smell. However, you stop noticing it after a while. After a couple hours of wearing it, I noticed that it was staying in place and hadn't run outside of my natural lip line like most lipsticks or glosses. It dried in place and didn't dry my lips out at all. I applied a little chap stick through out the day because of the cold, but it didn't seem drying on my lips.

I noticed that the swatch of Antwerp below isn't true to the color. In the picture it looks more of a pink/red but it's more of a orange/pink coral color. I couldn't get the picture to be close to the real color. I went ahead and smelled all of the colors, and weirdly enough, they all smell like Playdoh, some with a sweeter scent than others. Tokyo doesn't really have a smell at all, it almost smells like plastic I suppose. As for my only Xtreme Lip Cream, it smells TERRIBLE. It's like a mix of burning plastic and gasoline. I can't stand the smell, so I couldn't bring myself to try any other colors.

The first three watches above look very similar on camera as it does in person. Stockholm is more pinky, London is more brown, and Abu Dhabi is more of a reddish brown. They all look different when applied over a natural lip color. Stockholm looks true to it's color on me, but when I wear London it's more dark of a brown on my lips, and Abu Dhabi is just a chocolate brown on my lips. They look really nice if you just put a dab on your lips and blend them in for a natural look.

The colors to the right are San Paulo, Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, and Monte Carlo. They're all really pretty colors for a night time look. San Paulo is a pinky red color, warmer toned than a pink. Addis Ababa is oddly similar to the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in the shade Dolly Girl. However Addis Ababa has more of a blue undertone pink. Amsterdam is a cool toned red color, and Monte Carlo is a very dark vampy red color.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day NYX lovers.

February MyGlam Bag Review

Alright, girls! I'm finally writing my first blog! I've been meaning to for a while now, but haven't really had the time. But now that I'm working from home, I have so much time that I don't know what to do with it! Anyway, onto the review that I've been excited about doing all month! What we've all been so impatiently waiting for... well at least I know that was! The February MyGlam bag! So after a week of tediously stalking MyGlam's Facebook and Twitter, I caught a few sneak peeks of this months bag. Needless to say, I was quite surprised with what hints they were giving!
Here's what came in my February MyGlam bag! I was a little disappointed when I didn't receive a working tracking number.. again. Last month I had the same problem, but at least I got my bag! And I'm very excited that after all my anxiousness and stalking of the MyGlam facebook, that my bag finally arrived this morning! I know, I also noticed that the bags contents were not really "Valentines Day" themed, but they did throw in two pieces of chocolate, in that little silver box. I wasn't expecting that little treat at all.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that MyGlam changed their signature lilac/pink bubble wrap packaging to a hot pink color. Was this only for Valentines Day, or is it a permanent change? I honestly LOVE the color that February's bag came in! Who doesn't want to see a hot pink package in their mailbox? This color just screams MyGlam! I was also surprised to see Jessica Harlow staring on MyGlams welcome card, which tells you about the bag and the products you received. I'm glad to see that other stylists will be featured in different bags, not only Michelle Phan.

Contents of the February Glam Bag:
X Out Shine Control
NYX Roll on Shimmer in Light Blue
Premier Dead Sea Concentrated Facial Serum
& Instant Stretching and Revitalizing Mask
NuMe Professional Styling Tools& Hair Extensions 100$ Gift Card
Freeman Facial Mask Sachet in Gogi Berry
The bag for February is pink with black hearts on it, perfectly themed for Valentines Day. I was surprised at how much can fit in this bag, as it's very roomy when everything is placed inside. I think this bag would be perfect to tote and camouflage your "feminine toiletries" during that time-of-the-month. Not attractive to open your purse and a tampon flies out! Come on ladies, it's happened to all of us! ;) It also has an easily cleanable material inside, which is handy when your makeup spills.

One thing I did notice about my bag in particular was that I was missing the cards from NYX and Premier. Apparently there were codes on both of them for discounts on their products. For the other Glammies who did not receive these discount code cards either, I went on MyGlams Facebook page, and another Glammie was awesome enough to help me out. Here's what she said,
"the nyx card has a code for 30% off the roll on shimmer. the code is GLAMMENYX and you use it on the nyx website. The premier card has a code for 50% off the cinderella mask, "MYGLAM" for use on their website."

The first item I received in my bag was X Out Shine Control, which I'm not sure if I will use or not. My skin is really sensitive and dries out with many acne products. Especially proactive products. I have eczema, so I'm not sure if this will affect my skin and make me get an outbreak. Anyone want to trade me for a NYX Roll on Shimmer in any color but Light Blue?

The second product I received was a full-sized NYX Roll on Shimmer in Light Blue. I love how they always give a full-sized NYX sample. It's a really pretty light blue colored powder with silver reflects. The swatch above is pretty true to the color, and although it's pigmented when swatched, it's messy and when used on my eyes had a LOT of fall out. When you blend it into your skin, it almost turns translucent and all you see is the silver sparkle. It's very subtle and pretty. If used with a primer, I guess this could look pretty as an inner corner highlight.

The third thing in my bag were two samples from Premier. I got the Dead Sea Concentrated Facial Serum & Instant Stretching and Revitalizing Mask. Like I said, my skin is very sensitive and I most likely wont even use these. When I looked on their website, you could get three free samples of your choice and all you had to pay was shipping and handling. I think some girls said the shipping was around six dollars. I'm not impressed by these samples. I also researched the products, and they sell for 20 dollars on Amazon.com, although they're being sold for over 100$+ on the Premier website. If anything, I suggest buying it off of Amazon. It's cheaper and most likely the real deal. Much like the NuMa website, they overprice their items.

The fourth thing in my Glam Bag was the Freeman Facial Mask Sachet in Gogi Berry. It says that it hydrates and soothes skin. I'm hoping that this facial mask doesn't break me out or cause my eczema to act up, but normally hydrating masks are alright for my sensitive skin. I really wanted the Pineapple Mask because I love the smell of pineapples, but we'll see how this one works for me. I'll definitely find the Pineapple one in a store near me.

Lastly, the item that I was most excited about, the NuMe Professional Styling Tools& Hair Extensions 100$ Gift Card! I've been looking for a good hair dryer for a couple months now, and haven't found one that I would like to invest in. However, NuMe was nice enough to give Glammies a 100$ gift certificate, which is really more like a coupon. You can only buy hair tools or hair extensions. It excludes all hair care products and hair accessories. However, the deal doesn't end there, they also sent out an e-mail through MyGlam with a code that will also give us 50% off of ANYTHING on the website. Including hair care products, and accessories. Awesome right? I will be taking advantage of this offer as soon as I can. The coupon is good until August 31st of this year. So don't feel pressured to buy something now if you can't afford it. Save up for it and treat yourself!

For the girls that didn't get the email from MyGlam& NuMe, here's the code:
"50% OFF everything on the NuMeOnline.com. Use code: MYGLAMAGRAM14 and get ready to splurge and enjoy the fabulous perks of being a MyGlam Member."

And a little surprise for Valentines Day, we were send two samples of  Ghirardelli chocolates. Since I'm not really a fan of chocolate, I let  my husband gobble them up. Needless to say, they didn't last long enough to photograph. Hahaha. :)

Stay beautiful and please check my blog from time to time! I'm hoping to post more blogs daily.
